Way over 100 shows in 2012- a personal record!
I pulled into the parking lot and caught a little bit of Roxanne. They were a popular rock band in the late 80s until the bottom dropped out on that scene. I read somewhere that their singer, Jamie Brown, was the last singer on record for Racer X. He’s also the founder of the Boogie Knights, so he’s done quite well for himself and should be considered a true success story in the face of adversity (the grunge movement that killed rock music for a while). They sounded great live and are still a great band.
Lit came out after 10:00 and played for about an hour and a half. The venue wasn’t very packed, but they didn’t seem to care. They partied and played quite a few news tunes. They all seem like really cool dudes. This was a good show, but the one in Anaheim 5 months ago was way better in terms of set list, sound, crowd and vibe/ energy (just being honest here). Still totally worth attending. And I hope Roxanne comes back there and plays again.
The band hung out after the show and signed stuff and took pics with the fans until the venue closed up. Very cool.
