Way over 100 shows in 2012- a personal record!
Sunday, June 17:
What a beautiful afternoon and evening at the Hollywood Bowl! The weather was perfect and the day of jazz seemed to go by in a heartbeat. It was too beautiful not to take some time and picnic in the shady trees before heading in for the show. Ramsey Lewis, Keb Mo, The Preservation Jazz Hall Band and Robin Thicke were great openers for the main event- Spectrum Road. Seeing Vernon Reid and Jack Bruce play together was incredible. The band was fantastic and although they played for a while, they seemed to be done in a minute. It was then time to walk back to the car and try to get out of the parking lot. A perfect afternoon and evening of jazz.
