Way over 100 shows in 2012- a personal record!
Meetable.com and Rock N Roll Industries put on an excellent industry-only event in celebration of Nik Kai being the youngest nominee ever for a Metal Hammer Golden Gods Award. Nik is only 11 years old and he’s already endorsed by Gibson guitars, Marshall amps, Monster Energy and Jammit.com. From start to finish, this was an excellent night of music with a great crowd. Nik headlined the event by playing with SteVille Miller from Kinda Major and later on with the band Fatal Error from Arizona. Both acts were great and Nik was really able to showcase his guitar skills to an amazed and delighted crowd. Be sure to vote for Nik for his Golden Gods award!
FATAL ERROR- this band from Arizona rocked:
Nik and SteVille:
Steville has a really cool vibe about him and was very personable with the crowd- he played a few tunes before Nik Joined him:
Earlier in the evening, Luis Villegas– one third of the amazing band Flametal (AKA Heavy Mellow), who does incredible flamenco versions of heavy metal songs, was joined by Dan Sistos on guitar, Mike Paganini on bass and Chris Trujillo on percussion. They played a wonderful set of flamenco and Latin jazz songs that absolutely blew the crowd away. What a band! Fans of Al Di Meola and Paco de Lucia would really appreciate the hard work and dedication that goes into playing this type of music so well.
Their version of Rainbow in the Dark was absolutely brilliant:
Here’s a clip of one of the tunes they played live:
